Luminous Dreams

Project Scope

The Luminous Dreams project was developed by the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts (UWA) and the Australian Urban Design Research Centre.

A fictional narrative was created by Western Australian author and UWA graduate, Annabel Smith, as a guide for the film. The film’s vision and sound were provided by artists Sohan Ariel Hayes and Cat Hope (both UWA alumni) whilst Mid-West artists Rose Holdaway and Anthea Da Silva coordinated the students’ contributions including work from:

Mullewa High District School
Nagle Catholic College
Geraldton Senior College
John Willcock College
Geraldton Grammar School
The curator of the film exhibition and project manager is Dr Anthony Duckworth-Smith, Assistant Professor at the Australian Urban Design Research Centre. Projectors and technical support provided by Nick Azidis from Projectionteknik

The project is part of the UWA Gives Back Centenary celebrations in rural and regional areas of the state and was made possible with the assistance of the Geraldton Port Authority, CBH Group and Yamaji Art.
