This film emerged from a creative dialogue between the wonderful Lucy McRae and MissChu. Lucy immediately understood Miss Chu’s entire life, all the major changing and defining moments, are bound up in the MissChu enterprise.
Lucy turned the rice paper roll into the flesh of the creator – “so yes, I eat my own flesh in this film”. Lucy continues to provoke the biological edge of the body in this film, taking on the domain of genetic manipulation and human cloning. She delivers a world where clones are edible; their sensory effects absorbed through the body.
